Aday Thomas, also known as Tim, is one of our loyalest and loveliest customers here at SequinQueen.com
Tim has more style and class in his little finger than most of us have in our entire, overly-ample carcasses. His alter-ego Aday was born in a ballroom, just to give you an example of class, and in the same year won the Jerry Buskirk's Miss Gay America Pageant. That year was 1983, when most of you were still wearing pants and lip-syncing to PlaySchool...Since then, Tim and Aday have not changed one little bit. Not one bit. Click on the pictures at left to verify--those legs! that figure! that sublime visage! THAT is why we love Tim. (Well, that and the fact he knows how to take a SequinQueen gown and go wild with it to make it into something even more incredible!)
Since that amazing success almost three decades ago Tim has been a Beverly Hills celebrity hair stylist, judged pageants for the Miss America and the Mrs. America State Pageant systems and, after a move to Palm Springs, helped found two "drag" groups named Les Dames Du Soleil and Les Originales. Both groups are dedicated to raising funds for local AIDS related charities. Aday's favorite charity is the AIDS Assistance Program (www.aidsassistance.org) which is a volunteer-driven organization providing support for low income men, women and children living with HIV /AIDS. The AAP provides food vouchers to over 500 clients.
Aday will be honored for her work in the Palm Springs Community this year at an Annual Black Tie Gala named "An Evening Under The Stars." (www.bywayentertainment.com/eus_decor.html)
Told you he had class, didn't we! And Aday will be wearing a SequinQueen original to the Gala, natch.
From all of us here, thank you, Tim, for your support, unfailing good humor, and incomparable style these many years. You definitely qualify for the SequinQueen Guided Tour of Bangkok should you ever travel here, which we hope you will.
